Consortium Overview

The National NeuroAIDS Tissue Consortium so far has enlisted 3,360 participants in its clinical evaluation/tissue donation program. As of November 1, 2023, central nervous system specimens from 1,475 of HIV-infected and control subjects are available. Of HIV-positive participants, 2,130 have at least one plasma sample available, 1,247 have at least three serial plasma samples, and 1,507 have at least one CSF sample available. These numbers change as new samples are added and some of the collected samples are distributed. Please refer to our COHORT REPORTS PowerPoint presentation for more complete details.
